DOJ Charges Iranian Hackers for Trump Campaign Cyberattack
The US Department of Justice has indicted three Iranian nationals linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for a cyberattack on Donald Trump's presidential campaign. The hackers allegedly used social engineering and spear phishing to access campaign accounts and steal nonpublic documents.
While most news outlets didn't report on the stolen documents, independent journalist Ken Klippenstein published a dossier allegedly sent by the hackers, leading to his suspension from X.
